Departures from the Fellowship 2004-2005

Dr Mark Carrington, College Lecturer and Director of Studies in Natural Sciences, continues to hold the post of University Senior Lecturer in Biochemistry. 

Dr Santanu Das, Research Fellow in English Literature, left at the end of the Lent Term to take up a British Academy Postdoctoral Fellowship in the School of English and Drama at Queen Mary College, University of London.

Dr Ingo Kleppe, Research Fellow in Neuroscience, has taken up a Research Fellowship at University College London.

Dr Ralph O'Connor, Research Fellow in Icelandic and Irish Literature, has taken up a Lectureship in Irish-Scottish Studies in the Department of History at the University of Aberdeen.

Dr Emma Wagstaff, Research Fellow in French Literature, has taken up a position as Temporary Lecturer in French at Trinity College. 

Dr Bea Wilson, Research Fellow in the History of Ideas, is doing freelance writing on both history and food.

Deaths

Dr Kenneth George Budden, MA, PhD, FRS, Fellow of St John's College 1947-2005 and Emeritus Reader in Physics, died on 4 September 2005, aged 90.

Mr Arthur Guy Lee, MA, Fellow of St John's College 1945-2005, Tutor 1949-1956, Praelector 1956-1961, Librarian 1961-1984, and University Lecturer in Classics 1949-1982, died on 31 July 2005, aged 86.
