Professor Sir David Cox elected as Honorary Fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh

Professor Sir David Cox (1942) FRS FBA HonFRSE studied mathematics at St John’s College and he was elected as an Honorary Fellow of the College in 1989.

Professor Sir David Cox has made outstanding contributions in the fields of statistics and applied probability which have earned him numerous awards, medals and honorary doctorates. He was also recently elected as an Honorary Fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh.
