University and Departmental Prizes: September-November 2013

The following students are among those whose excellent work has been recognised by the University, or external organisations and academic institutions, since September 2013.

Graham Calvert recently won an ISCA Grant to deliver a paper at INTERSPEECH 2013 in Lyon, France.

Peter Muruiki was awarded a Departmental Prize for his IA Engineer in Society report.

Freddie James was awarded the W T Best Memorial Scholarship 2014-16 by The Worshipful Company of Musicians.

Joan Redmond was awarded an Arts and Humanities Research Council International Placement Fellowship to study at the Huntingdon Library for four months.

Patrick Flagmeier received the Römer-Preis 2013 at the LMU Munich for excellent scientific achievements.

Ursula Moore was awarded with a prize for the best poster presentation at the Altitude Medicine Conference.

Sabine Schneider, reading for the MPhil in Economic and Social History, was awarded the Ellen McArthur Scholarship in Economic History, together with a Prize Research Studentship from the Joint Centre for History and Economics at Cambridge and Harvard.
