Students awarded prizes for excellence - February 2013 update

The following students are among those who have been awarded University prizes for their outstanding academic achievements since December 2012.

Robert Gardiner Memorial Scholarships have been awarded to Christopher Blair (Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics), Joan Redmond (History) and Sean Ryan (Chemistry).

In addition, Stephanie Hyland has been elected to an Honorary Robert Gardiner Memorial Scholarship. She is currently studying for a MAST in Applied Mathematics.

Branden Chan has been awarded the Henry Arthur Thomas Book Prize for excellent performance in Part IB Classics.

Maria Flood has been awarded the Jebb Fund Studentship, for the second time, for her work on European literature. She also received this prize in 2009.

Zoe Li was awarded a Distinction Prize, awarded by the School of Clinical Medicine, for the best overall Preparing for Patients C Coursework.

Mekhola Mallik has been awarded the Stefan & Anna Galeski Fellowship Award by the Royal College of Surgeons. The Fellowship involves travelling to Brazil where Mekhola will help teach and also present her research.

Callum Wright was awarded a William Harvey Studentship for outstanding performance in the Stage 1 Clinical Medicine examinations.

Daniel Zimarev has been awarded the IMechE Postgraduate Masters Scholarship for Exceptional BEng (Hons) Graduates.
