The St John's Women's Society

The Society

The St John’s Women’s Society was founded in 2007 to mark the 25th anniversary of the entrance of the first women to St John’s College. Our aim is to provide a platform to discuss gender equality issues within the university and beyond: we run bi-weekly discussion groups, panel debates, film screenings, social, cultural and fundraising events. We are also concerned with women's health and welfare issues: we are currently campaigning to improve the sexual health provisions in college and hold yoga classes twice a week. Our events are open to all, women and men and we are keen to hear as wide a variety of voices as possible.

To keep up to date with our current events and activities join our mailing list: joh-ws@lists.cam.ac.uk or vist our Facebook page where you can also find events we have organised in the past and share and comment on interesting articles or media.
