On completing her education, Jude worked as a receptionist and cocktail waitress before moving to Cambridge. She is interested in all sorts or music, travelling, and Carry Grant films.

Alun is training for the priesthood at Westcott House.  Before coming to Cambridge he worked as a librarian (specialising in palaeography and English literature) and wrote a PhD on medieval manuscripts at the University of Manchester. Some favourites – films: Barry Lyndon (dir. Stanley Kubrick); Wild at Heart (dir. David Lynch); disc: We Want Miles! (Miles Davis); book: Last Exit to Brooklyn (Hubert Selby Jr). Alun is married to Carol and they live in London.

At the end of the year Tom married Laura and returned to Cambridge to begin training at Westcott House for ministry in the Church of England. He is due to be ordained at Petertide 2012.

Laura James

Laura spent three years as an undergraduate at St John’s studying Natural Sciences and then stayed on to complete a year of teacher training.  After a year in Essex, she is now in her second year teaching Biology and Chemistry at The Perse School.  She is married to Tom and is currently exploring a vocation to school chaplaincy.  In her spare time, she is completing a Masters in Education.  She likes singing, dancing, watching films and playing badminton, and also turns her hand to cooking and tapestry work.

Max Kramer

Max grew up in Morpeth, Northumberland before moving South to Oxford to study Classics at Balliol. After finishing his degree he worked as a Pastoral Assistant in Wantage, combining his work there with a job as a dinner-man in a local school for children with special educational needs.  He has been based at Westcott House since 2008 where he is training to be a priest and is studying for an MPhil in Old Testament at John’s.  Max loves listening to all kinds of music and occasionally gets involved with a bit of very amateur music-making himself.

Steve Torr

Steve is 29 and from Burton-on-Trent, in the Midlands. He’s been married for nearly 4 and a half years to his wife, Holly, and, prior to moving to Cambridge, Steve worked part time for Burton Youth For Christ as an administrator, whilst doing a PhD in Theology.  He has come to Cambridge to train at Ridley Hall to be an Anglican priest and in his spare time he likes running, watching films and eating!
