Instrumental Awards

The Instrumental Awards for Chamber Music scheme, run by the University, enables gifted musicians to pursue excellence in their performances. Award-holders become part of an ensemble and receive a number of benefits including free coaching from major professionals, subsidised instrumental lessons and a small financial award.

This year two new students from St John's College received the award:

  • Laura Rickard, reading Music, received an award for the violin
  • Ghislaine McMullin, reading History, received an award for the cello
