    St John’s has two libraries; the Working Library which students can access 24 hours a day, and the Old Library, which dates from 1624 and contains excellent collections including many rare books and manuscripts.     A scholarly edition of the College’s oldest manuscript has just been published by Brepols. Manuscript C.9 is a rare 10th century Irish Psalter, known as the ‘Southampton Psalter’ as it came to the College via Henry Wriothesley, third Earl of Southampton.
